What to expect from your HD facial treatment:
When scheduling your facials, you will schedule a time frame and during our skin consultation we will discuss your paperwork and go over the main skin concerns you have with your skin. This will help me decide what is best to use during your customized facial treatment. Below are options that I can use during your facial at no additional cost or upgrade. But keep in mind the longer the time scheduled, the more I can incorporate into the facial.
Pick between 45, 60, 75, or 90 minute treatment times.
Not sure what to book? Let me help you out…
ACNE: If you’re concerned with acne and are wanting clearer skin, I recommend you look into booking an HD Acne Consultation. You can read up on the Face Reality acne program here. If that’s not something you’re interested in, you can still come and get a facial geared towards clearing acne but this facial does not include peels or the full range of acne products available for client purchase like a client on the acne program has access too. For this I would schedule a 60,75, or 90 minute facial.
AGING/MATURE: If you are wanting to correct and/or prevent some signs of aging like fine lines and hyperpigmentation, I would suggest booking a 75 minute facial, 90 minute facial, or a peel consultation. This type of skin can benefit from consistent peels and using a variety of products such as enzymes and masks, and tools like dermaplane and LED which is why I suggest booking a longer facial.
HYPERPIGMENTATION: Wow, this word looks scary in all CAPS. But this just means you have darker colored spots on your face, typically found around your eyes and cheeks. These are sometimes reffered to as sun spots, age spots, and you can also see a form of hyperpigmentation from acne scarring. I recommend booking a peel consultation.
NO REAL CONCERNS: First of all, good for you! If you are looking to get regular facials to relax, get on a good skin regimen and keep your skin looking healthy, I recommend a 45, 60, 75, or 90 minute facial.
What can we choose from?
Read over the options below to get an idea of what could be used during your facial at ZERO additional costs. The time durations listed are approximations to give you an idea on how long of a facial you should schedule
LED Light Therapy ~ 30 minutes
LED (Light Emitting Diode) is the application of light energy to tissue and can be used to help clear acne, reduce appearance of wrinkles, and even help with pain and wound healing. This LED panel delivers blue, red, and infrared light energy simultaneously to safely treat a variety of conditions. Each wavelength is absorbed by different molecules that act as a signaling mechanism for different cellular processes. For example, some reduce inflammation, and some kill bacteria, while others enhance circulation. I fancy this treatment for someone concerned about breakouts and healthy aging. I recommend LED to be used weekly in a series for quicker results. Learn more about this FDA approved device here.
Dermaplane ~ 15 minutes
Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliaton that uses a sterile blade to remove surface dead skin cells and vellus hair from the face. This form of exfoliation allows skin care products to be more effective, reduces appearance of fine lines, and smooths out skin texture. I also like this treatment for someone who chooses to wear makeup because the smooth skin makes a nice canvas for makeup. Not recommended if prone to acne.
Extractions ~2-10 minutes
I will only extract open and closed comedones (blackheads and whiteheads). Extraction of any blemishes different than these could lead to scarring and prolonged appearance of the blemish. It is recommended to see a professional for extractions before trying them at home.
High Frequency
The safe, gentle oscillating and oxygenating power of high frequency electrical current can help treat and prevent breakouts and rejuvanate the condition of the scalp to nourish hair follicles for healthier hair growth. Have a beard? No problem, high frequency works great on beards and scalps.
Infusion Pen ~ 5 minutes
Serums and masks are pushed down deep into the skin to give extra absorption to the skin and helping reduce the appearance of fine lines giving the skin a nice glow. Works well for around the eye and mouth area. NOT to be confused with microneedling. Similar device but a different tip is used. The infusion stamp DOES NOT penetrate the skin. It simply adds extra pressure to the serum so the serum can maximize its benefits.
Enzyme ~10 minutes
Using fruit enzymes and light doses of acids to exfoliate the skin. I have enzymes suitable for everyone including people with the sensitive skin, women that are pregnant, and people with the most resilient skin. Enzymes are incorporated in almost every facial. They smell delightful too. BONUS!
Facial Massage ~ 10 minutes
Aside from the benefits of facial massage offers (lymphatic drainage and circulation), it’s seriously so relaxing it’s by far the most enjoyable part of a facial. It relaxes and releases muscle tension on the forehead, eyes, cheeks, jaw, and neck area. Highly recommend for someone that experiences stress and tension in their head.
